Replacing Seat Cushion Heater Pad
REPLACING SEAT CUSHION HEATER PADRemove:
- seat from the car. Replacing Seat Assembly
- seat cushion upholstery. Replacing Seat Cushion Upholstery
- heater pad. Heat with a hot-air gun and pull the loose pan of the heater.
Note: Be careful not to melt the seat cushion.
Install:
- the new heater pad.
Position the new heater pad so that the rear side cut outs lie edge to edge with the lateral groove (against the rear groove in the case of double grooves). Lengthwise the heater pad should be positioned so that the thermostat is under one of the wires. Hold the heater pad in position, remove the rear backing paper and secure the heater pad at the rear edge. Press the heater pad into the groove/grooves. Remove the front backing paper and secure the heater pad.
- upholstery.
Start securing clamps in the middle of the seat cushion between the upholstery and padding. Use special pliers P/N 1158962-9 to secure the clamps.
- install seat in car. Replacing Seat Assembly
