Guard Alarm I (Only)
Check control module programing in Central Locking to see that FUNCTION 2 (hard and soft automatic activation) is not set to 1 or 4.
Source of fault
Fault in alarm loops.
Fault In status panel.
Open-circuit in Ignition supply to alarm control module.
Fault in alarm control module.
Fault-tracing starts with T1.
T1 Check Alarm Loops
Deactivate alarm.
Close all doors. hood (bonnet) and trunk (boot)
Ignition on.
Ignition off.
All indicator LEDs should be out.
If indicator LEDs are Out:
Check indicator LED T2.
If indicator LED I is lit:
Carry out fault-tracing in Basic Alarm, No Alarm When Door Is Opened
If indicator LED II is lit:
Carry out fault-tracing in Basic Alarm, No Alarm On Hood Bonnet
If Indicator LED III is lit:
Carry out fault-tracing in Guard Alarm I or II only, No Alarm on Sensor.
T2 Check Indicator LED
Ignition off.
Open a door.
Indicator LED I should flash.
If indicator LED I flashes:
Check ignition supply T4.
If indicator LED I does not flash:
Check door loop T3.
T3 Check Door Loop
Ignition off.
Open a door.
Remove alarm control module (position 210/211).
Connect a voltmeter between alarm relay plinth position T and position 31 (ground). Voltmeter should read less than 1 V.
If reading is OK:
Carry out fault-tracing in Basic Alarm, Indicator LED/Status Panel Fauly.
If reading is incorrect:
Carry out fault-tracing in Basic Alarm, No Alarm When Door Is Opened.
T4 Check Ignition Supply
Ignition off.
Test A:
Connect a voltmeter to alarm relay plinth between position 15 and position 31 (ground). Voltmeter should read 0 V.
Test B:
Ignition on.
Reconnect voltmeter to alarm relay plinth between position 15 and position 31 (ground). Voltmeter should read battery voltage.
If readings are OK:
Try another alarm control module after Fault-Tracing in Alarm Wiring Harness, Guard Alarm I or II only.
If any reading is incorrect:
Carry out fault-tracing in Basic Alarm, Alarm Cannot Be Activated or Deactivated.
