Control Panel and Fuse Box Replacement
Electrical Control Panel:
The electrical control panel is designed to take optional extras. Fuse # 16 has been set aside for that purpose. If fitting more accessories, lift electrical control panel out and use spare slots (4, 18, 36 or 38).

Control Panel Removal:
If you are not sure if a fuse has blown:
- Turn ignition on.
- Test to see if there is power at both test points on the fuse.
- Remove battery negative lead.
- Remove windshield wipers and cover panel. Service and Repair (Front Wiper Unit and Motor.)
- Remove electrical control panel cover (4 screws).
- Remove 4 electrical control panel screws.
- Open cable run.
- Lift electrical control panel out.
- For installation, follow steps in reverse order.
NOTE: Check that there is a tight fit between the electrical control panel and firewall. For repairs to leads and connectors, use Volvo spares kit 914 8210, which comes with repair instructions and special tools.
