Fault in ignition.
Fault in alarm control module.

Fault-tracing starts with K1.

K1 Check That Starter Motor Is Working

Deactivate alarm.

Ignition off.
Remove alarm control module (position 210/211).

Bridge alarm relay plinth between position 50E and position 50F.

Start engine by turning ignition to position III.
Starter motor should work.

If starter motor works:
Try another alarm control module in Guard Alarm I or II for Fault- Tracing in Alarm Wiring Harness.

Guard Alarm II:
Run control module self-test in Guard Alarm II (only) before replacing control module.

If starter motor does not work:
Check ignition supply K2.

K2 Check Ignition Supply

Remove bridge from alarm relay plinth between position 50E and position 50F

Connect a voltmeter to alarm relay plinth between position 50E and position 31 (ground).

Turn ignition key to position III.
Voltmeter should read battery voltage.

If reading is OK:
Fault-trace in starter motor electrical system.

If reading is incorrect:
Check lead between ignition (3/1) position 50 and alarm relay plinth position 50E for open-circuit as per WA3 and for short-circuit to ground as per WA4See Other Fault-Tracing Test.
