Checking the Last 10 Alarm Causes

Button "Show Alarm Cause"
The control module stores the last 10 alarm causes in its memory. Press button B "Show alarm cause". The upper line of the display shows the sequence, with the first alarm triggered first and the alarm triggered most recently last on the line. Example: "10987654321"

Alarm Cause Code Letters
The lower line of the display shows the current alarm cause as a code letter as below. The last 10 alarm causes are displayed.

D = Door: alarm via door signal input (T)
H = Hood: alarm via signal input hood (bonnet) (FH) or trunk (boot) (RH)
S = Sensor: alarm via signal input sensor (S)
I = Ignition: alarm via signal input ignition (15)

Example: "DDSIHHHHSD"

NOTE: Once posted, DTCs cannot be erased.

If the control module concerned is to be installed in the car for further fault-tracing, write down the sequence of code letters to decide which alarm causes arose. Remember that quality controls on control modules and testing after installing alarms in cars cause an alarm to be triggered via the different alarm inputs. These are also stored in the memory.
