DTC 4-1-3 and 4-1-6

DTC 4-1-3 AND 4-1-6. PASSENGER COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE SENSORS INTAKE FAN HAS NO CONTROL VOLTAGE:

DTC 4-1-3 = Driver side passenger compartment temperature sensors intake fan has no control voltage.
DTC 4-1-6 = Passenger side passenger compartment temperature sensors intake tan has no control voltage.

- Condition for DTC:
If signal from the passenger compartment temperature sensors integral intake fan has no control voltage, the control module records the fault and stores the DTC.

- Cause of fault:
Open circuit in wire or intake fan.

- Symptoms:
Fault warning to driver. LEDs by A/C and REC buttons flash for 20 sec.

Connect Test Unit To Control Module:

- Ignition off.
- Connect test unit between control module and A/C system connector and check GND points. Connecting and Disconnecting Test Unit
- Go to the next step "Check Wire Resistance".

Check Wire Resistance:

- Ignition off.
- Disconnect adapter from control module.
- Disconnect connector from passenger compartment temperature sensor. Service and Repair
- Bridge pins 2 and 4 in wire connector.
- Connect an ohmmeter.
On driver side, across # 6 and # 45.
On passenger side, across # 6 and # 46.
- If ohmmeter reads 0 ohm, wire is OK. Open circuit in intake fan. Go to the next step "Check Intake Fan".
- If ohmmeter reading is infinite, intake fan is OK. Open circuit in wire.
Check GND wire between connector pin 2 and connector A pin A:6 to control module for open circuit. Checking Wires
Check wire between connector pin 4 and connector B to control module for open circuit:
On driver side, to pin B:15.
On passenger side, to pin B:16. Checking Wires
Rectify open circuit.
Check DTC. Test Procedures

Check Intake Fan:

- Ignition off.
- Disconnect connector from passenger compartment temperature sensor. Service and Repair
- Connect an ohmmeter across pin 2 and 4 on passenger compartment temperature sensor.
- If value is OK, ohmmeter should read approx. 50 Kohms.
- If value is not OK, if ohmmeter reading is infinite, there is an open circuit in the intake fan. Replace passenger compartment temperature sensor and refit in reverse order.
- Check DTC. Test Procedures
