Door Window

Removing

The bolt - 3 - can have a left or right thread, depending on its installed position.

The bolts has a right thread if the bolt head has an inner TORX.

The bolts has a left thread if the bolt head has an outer TORX.






Perform the following:

- Remove the front door trim.

- Pry out the caps.

- Lower the door window - 1 - until the clamping screws - 3 - in the door window are accessible through the opening in the subframe.

The bolts has a right thread if the bolt head has an inner TORX.

The bolts has a left thread if the bolt head has an outer TORX.

- Loosen the screws - 3 - (do not remove) and press apart the clamping brackets - 2 -.

If the step is not possible due to a malfunction in the window regulator, the motor can be removed. Refer to => [ Window Regulator Motor ] Window Regulator Motor.

Then the window can be moved to the necessary position.






- Lift the rear door window - 1 - and remove it in - direction of arrow - from the window guides - 2 -.

Installation






Perform the following:

- Install the door window - 1 - in the window guides - 2 - in the - direction of arrow a -.

Make sure the door window is inserted correctly in the window guide.

- Without using any pressure, guide the door window - arrow b - into the clamping brackets - 3 -.

- Align the door window with the window frame - arrow c -.






- Tighten the clamping screws - 3 - (quantity: 2). Tightening specification: 8 Nm.

The bolts has a right thread if the bolt head has an inner TORX.

The bolts has a left thread if the bolt head has an outer TORX.

- Continue by performing the steps used in removal in reverse order.

A function test must be performed before the door trim is installed.
