Window Regulator Motor

• Removing and installing the right window regulator motor is described here. Removing and installing the left window regulator motor is identical.

Removing






Perform the following:

- Remove the door trim..

- Secure the door window with adhesive tape to prevent it from falling down.

- Remove the 3 bolts - 2 -.

- Disconnect the connector - 3 -.

- Remove the window regulator motor - 1 - from the mounts of the cable reel.

Installation

It is necessary to code the additional functions and pinch protection each time a new window regulator motor (door control module) is installed.






Perform the following:

- Install the window regulator motor - 1 - on the mounts in the cable reel. Gently move the door window up and down so that the splines between the motor and the cable reel can mesh.

- Secure the harness connectors - 3 -.

Tightening specification for the bolts - 2 -: 3 Nm

- Code a new window regulator motor with Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5052 A).

- After coding, let the window regulator work in the one-touch up/one-touch down mode and pull the switch for 2 seconds. This way the window regulator motor recognizes its upper stop.

- Continue by performing the steps used in removal in reverse order.
