Driveshaft Overview
• Do not perform any repair work on the driveshafts.
• Do not kink the rear driveshaft, only store and move it when fully extended.
• Lay the rear driveshaft down with the bracket facing up.
• Mark the position of all the parts to each other before removing them. Install them in the same position otherwise the imbalance will be excessive and the bearings could get damaged causing rumbling noises.
1 Front Final Drive
• The colored marks on the flange and front driveshaft must align with each other.
2 Front Driveshaft
• Installed position: The colored dot on the front driveshaft must align with the colored dot on the front final drive and on the transfer case.
3 Automatic Transmission (0C8) with Transfer Case
• The colored marks on the transfer case flange and front driveshaft must align with each other.
4 Transfer Case End Balancer
5 Rear Driveshaft
• Installed position: The colored dot on the rear driveshaft must align with the colored dot on the transfer case and final drive.
6 Rear Final Drive
• The colored marks on the flange and front driveshaft must align with each other.
7 Bracket
8 Bolt
• 32 Nm
• For the transfer case end balancer to the transfer case.
9 Bolt
• 20 Nm
• Center support to the underbody.
10 Bolt
• 60 Nm
• For the bracket to the underbody.
