Clutch Overview
1 Drive Plate
• Make sure it fits securely on the alignment pins.
• There must not be no grooves, oil or grease on the clutch plate contact surface.
2 Clutch Disc
• For the correct allocation, refer to the Parts Catalog.
• The "transmission side" label, if present, points toward the pressure plate.
• Lightly grease the splines.
• Clean the input shaft splines and the hub splines, remove corrosion and apply only a very thin coating of grease for clutch plate splines (G 000 100) onto the input shaft splines. Then move the clutch disc back and forth on the input shaft until the hub moves freely on the shaft. Remove any excess grease.
3 Pressure Plate
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch ] Clutch.
• The pressure plate is corrosion protected and lubricated. Only the running surfaces may be cleaned, otherwise the service life of the clutch will be shortened considerably.
4 Bolt
• 20 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.
• Loosen and tighten the bolts in diagonally and in small stages.
5 Alignment Pins
• Ensure the pins are securely seated.
