Stabilizer Bar Mount






Stabilizer Bar Mount

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

Vehicles with an Air Spring Shock Absorber

- Activate the vehicle lift mode and place the vehicle on the lifting platform. Refer to => [ Front Axle, Lifting to Curb Weight Position ] Front Axle, Lifting to Curb Weight Position.

Continuation for Both Vehicles

- Unscrew the bolts - arrows - for the stabilizer bar clamp - 1 - on the subframe.






- Remove the stabilizer bar clamp.

The two mount halves are engaged in one another via retaining tabs.






- Carefully unclip both retaining tabs - arrows - from the stabilizer bar mount - 1 -.

Installing

- Ensure proper seating of the mount halves - 1 - on the hexagon guide - arrow - of the stabilizer bar.






- Carefully press the mount halves together until the tabs engage audibly.

- Tighten the bolts - arrows - for the stabilizer bar clamp - 1 - uniformly on the subframe by hand.






Only bolt the stabilizer rod if the dimension "a" is reached. Refer to => [ Front Axle, Lifting to Curb Weight Position ] Front Axle, Lifting to Curb Weight Position.

- Uniformly tighten the stabilizer bar clamp on the subframe.
