Connection/Conjunction Box 2

Removal

Always follow the procedure in the Repair Information when disconnecting the battery. The battery cut-out will be deactivated and damage to the vehicle electrical equipment may occur if the connecting sequence is not followed exactly. Refer to => [ Warnings and Safety Precautions ] Service Precautions.

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the wiper arm. Refer to => [ Wiper Arm, Removal ] Wiper Arm, Removal.

- Remove plenum chamber cover.

- Remove the screws - arrows - and the cover from the Connection/conjunction box 2 (SX2).






The number of multi-pin harness connectors - 2 - can deviate from the illustration depending on vehicle equipment.






- Disconnect all the multi-pin connectors - 2 -, depending on the vehicle equipment level, and remove the wiring harness together with the housing seal - 1 - and - 3 - from Connection/conjunction box 2.

- Remove the 5 screws - arrows - and then remove the top of the Connection/conjunction box 2 - 1 -.






- Remove the lower section of Connection/conjunction box 2 from the vehicle.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Install the rubber retainers - 1 - and mount the lower section of Connection/conjunction box 2, with the rubber retainers, onto the pins on the vehicle.






The sealing boot for the wires must be installed in the guides on Connection/conjunction box 2.

Be careful not to get the wires caught when assembling the upper and lower sections of Connection/conjunction box 2.

- Tighten the screws on the cover to 2.5 Nm.
