Relay and Fuse Panel 1

Removal

Always follow the procedure in the Repair Information when disconnecting the battery. The battery cut-out will be deactivated and damage to the vehicle electrical equipment may occur if the connecting sequence is not followed exactly. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

- Disconnect the battery. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the bracket for the Comfort system central control module (J393). Refer to => [ Comfort System Central Control Module (J393) Bracket ] Comfort System Central Control Module (J393) Bracket.

It is necessary to remove the fuse panel on the driver side because there is a wiring harness behind it. The wires can remain connected to the fuse panel.

- Remove the fuse panel on the driver side. Refer to => [ Fuse Holder ] Fuse Holder.

- Remove the three screws - 1 - and lower the gateway control module bracket - 2 -. Pay attention to the wires still connected.






- Open the retainers - arrows - and remove the relay panel - 1 -.






Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Make sure the relay carrier locks securely into the mount.
