Rear Lid Lock Button in Luggage Compartment (E406)

Removal

When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (plastic wedge, screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Open rear lid.

- Pry the button - 1 - out of the rear lid trim panel.






- Disconnect the connector - arrow - and remove the button - 1 -.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal.
