EGR Valve: Service and Repair

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining ] Coolant, Draining.

- Remove the engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Cover ] Engine Cover.

- Remove the EGR cooler switch-over valve - arrow - from the bracket.






- Loosen the clamp - arrow - and remove the coolant hose.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the EGR motor.

Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Replace the O-ring.

• Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type.

- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Filling ] Coolant, Filling.
