Glove Compartment Lamp (W6) and Glove Compartment Lamp Switch (E26)

The glove compartment lamp is a single unit with the glove compartment lamp switch and is installed in the glove compartment on the front passenger side.

Removal

When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool (plastic wedge, screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Pry out the glove compartment lamp - 1 - carefully with a screwdriver.






- Disconnect the connector - arrow - and remove the glove compartment lamp and glove compartment lamp switch.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Make sure the tab on the switch fits into the opening in the bottom of the glove compartment when installing the glove compartment lamp.

• If not, the switch will not work and the lamp will not lock into place in the glove compartment.

- Make sure the glove compartment lamp works.
