Coolant Pump

Coolant Pump

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Spanner Wrench (3212)

• Torque Wrench (5-50 Nm) (V.A.G 1331)

Removing

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining ] Coolant, Draining.

- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.

- Remove the coolant pump pulley.

- When loosening the bolts - arrows - use the spanner wrench (3212) to counter hold the pulley.






- Remove the bolts - arrows - and the coolant pump.






Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Clean the sealing surfaces.

- Install the coolant pump.

- Install the coolant pump pulley.

- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to => [ Ribbed Belt ] Ribbed Belt.

- Fill the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Filling ] Coolant, Filling.
