Cooling System, Emptying

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Spring Type Clip Pliers (VAS 6499)

• Drip Tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208)

• 20 mm Diameter Hose Extension

• 20 mm Diameter Blind Plug (Qty: 2)

• Compressed Air Gun

- Drain the coolant. Refer to => [ Coolant, Draining ] Coolant, Draining.

- Remove the left front wheel.

- Remove the left front wheel housing liner..

- Reposition he clamps and remove the coolant hoses - A through D -.






- Attach a hose - 1 - to the hose - C - to lengthen it and place the other end in the drip tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208).

- Apply a maximum of 1 bar (14.6 psi) of compressed air across the hose - D - using a compressed air gun - 2 - until the circuit is completely empty.






- Install a plug - 3 - as illustrated, attach a suitable hose - 1 - to the hose - B - to lengthen it and place one end in the drip tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208).






- Apply maximum of 1 bar (14.6 psi) of compressed air across the hose - A - using a compressed air gun - 2 - until the circuit is completely empty.

- Connect the coolant hoses and position the clamps.
