Brake Pedal Overview






Brake Pedal Overview

Illustration for automatic transmission and hybrid vehicles.

The path of the brake pedal must not be shortened via extra floor mats.

Lubricate all bearings and contact surfaces with grease (G 000 450 02).






1 Mounting Bracket for Pedal Assembly

2 Bolt

20 Nm

3 Support

4 Bolt

3 Nm

5 Pivot Pin

Fits in only one position, opening in the mounting pin on the tab on the bracket.

6 Crash Wedge

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Remove the crash wedge on the bracket in order to remove the bolt. ] Brake Pedal.

7 Bolt

3 Nm

8 Ball Socket

9 Wheel Hub Support

For the ball head on the brake booster push rod.

10 Bushing

11 Brake Pedal

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Pedal ] Brake Pedal.

Separate the brake pedal from brake booster. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting ] Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting.

Clip brake pedal together with brake booster. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting ] Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting.

Allocation, refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

12 Pedal Cap

13 Bracket with Magnet

Only on hybrid vehicles.

Bolt, bracket to brake pedal, 3.5 Nm.

Adjusting, refer to => [ Brake Pedal Position Sensor (G100), Adjusting ] Adjustments.

14 Brake Pedal Position Sensor (G100)

Only on hybrid vehicles.

Adjusting, refer to => [ Brake Pedal Position Sensor (G100), Adjusting ] Adjustments.

15 Bracket Brake Pedal Position Sensor (G100)

Only on hybrid vehicles.

Adjusting, refer to => [ Brake Pedal Position Sensor (G100), Adjusting ] Adjustments.

16 Bolt

3 Nm

Only on hybrid vehicles.

17 Securing Ring

For the mounting pin.
