Pedal Positioning Sensor: Adjustments
Brake Pedal Position Sensor (G100), Adjusting
- Remove the footwell cover.
Remove the side instrument panel covers.
Remove the left instrument panel trim on the driver side.
Remove the right instrument panel trim on the driver side.
- Remove the comfort system central control module and bracket.
The bracket for the brake pedal position sensor guide ribs - A - and the bracket - B - has slots which allow the control module to be moved from side to side. This prevent the module from being turned.
- Loosen the bolts - 2 - just far enough until the bracket - 1 - and the brake pedal position sensor - 3 - can be moved back and forth in - direction of arrow -.
- Adjust the dimension - A - from minimum 4 mm to maximum 5 mm between the brake pedal position sensor - 3 - and the magnet - 4 -.
- Tighten the bolts - 2 -.
- Loosen the bolt - 4 - on the magnet bracket - 3 - just enough until is it possible to push the magnet bracket - 3 - in - direction of arrow A - as close as possible against the brake pedal - 1 -.
- Push the stop - 1 - on the bracket - 2 - in - direction of arrow - downward (illustration I), until both tabs - 1 - latch onto the edge - 2 - (illustration II).
- Push the magnet holder - 1 - against the stop - 2 - in - direction of arrow -.
• Both latched tabs - 3 - are shown in the illustration.
- Tighten the bolt - 4 - on the magnet bracket.
- Push the stop - 1 - in - direction of arrow - until it latches on the other side on the bracket - 2 -.
- Install the comfort system central control module and bracket.
Install the right instrument panel trim on the driver side.
Install the left instrument panel trim on the driver side.
Install the side instrument panel covers.
- Install the footwell cover.
