Lock Carrier







Lock Carrier with Attachments

Removing

The lock carrier is a safety-relevant component and for this reason it may not be serviced.

If damaged, replace the lock carrier.

Information regarding the distance regulation control modules - 5 -.






Perform the following:

- Set the service position.

- Disconnect any harness connectors.

- Drain the coolant and disconnect the coolant lines.

- Disconnect the condenser lines.

- Together with a second technician, remove the guide pins (T10093) on the left and right longitudinal members - 2 - and remove the lock carrier with attachments - 1 -.

To disconnect the lock carrier - 1 - from the crossmember - 4 -, unscrew the bolts - 3 -.

Do not start the engine whenever the A/C system or coolant lines are disconnected.

Never hang the condenser and the hydraulic fluid cooler on the lines.

Never bend the condenser lines or the hydraulic fluid lines.

Installation






Perform the following:

If the lock carrier - 1 - was detached from the crossmember - 4 -, the bolts must first be tightened.

- Screw tightening specification - 3 -: 20 Nm.

- Attach the lock carrier - 1 - to the longitudinal members - 2 -.

- Install the left and right guide rods (3411).

- Move the lock carrier out of its service position. Refer to => [ Service Position, Resetting ] Service Position, Resetting.

Install in reverse order of removal.

Make sure that all plug and hose connections are installed correctly during assembly.

Information regarding the distance regulation control modules - 5 -.

- Align the lock carrier at the longitudinal members and between the fenders.
