Upper A-Pillar Trim

• Removal and installation are described for the left side of the vehicle. Removal and installation for the right side are performed in the same manner.

Removal

- Remove the side instrument panel cover. Refer to => [ Side Instrument Panel Covers ] Side Instrument Panel Covers.

- Remove the center A-pillar trim. Refer to => [ Center A-Pillar Trim ] Center A-Pillar Trim.

- Pull the trim - 1 - in the area of the "airbag" label into the vehicle interior out of the catch in the A-pillar.






- Cut through the clip - 1 - using a diagonal cutter.






- Pull the trim out of the remaining mounts.

- Remove the part of the clip still in the body using the release tool (T10236).

Installation

- Replace the clip - 1 - "5N0.880.385.A".






- Position the trim between the instrument panel and body.

- Lock the trim - 1 - in the corresponding mounts in the body.






- Position the trim in the door seal piping.

• Check whether the trim is in the door seal piping after installation.
