Insulation and Roof Reinforcements

Removal

- Use a carpet knife to cut the insulation and roof reinforcements - 1 - and - 2 - into strips with a width of approx. 9 cm - 3 - - dotted lines -.

- Pull off strips - 3 - from roof.

- Cut back the adhesive residue - 4 - using the electric cutter (V.A.G 1561 A) and the cutting blade (V.A.G 1561/20) - 5 -.

• If the paint structure was damaged while removing the insulation and roof reinforcements, paint damage must be repaired.






Installation

• The instructions for the use of adhesive must be observed when installing insulation and roof reinforcements.

- Use the cartridge gun (V.A.G 1628) to apply adhesive D 190 MKD A3 to the front - 1 - and rear - 2 - insulation and roof reinforcement.

- Apply the adhesive in beads.

• Dimension - a - = 94 ± 2 mm

• Dimension - b - =25 ± 2 mm

• Dimension - c - = 25± 2 mm

- Press the entire surface of the insulation and roof reinforcements onto the roof.
