Hood Latch Release: Service and Repair

Hood Actuating Lever






Perform the following:

Removing

- Pull the actuator lever - 1 - and release the hood.

- Insert a small screwdriver into the gap between the actuator lever - 1 - and the clip - 2 -.

- Pry the clip - 2 - out of the actuator lever - 1 - - arrow a - and then remove the actuator lever - 3 - - arrow b -.

Remove the lower A-pillar trim - 4 - to work on the mounting bracket - 3 -.

Installation

• The lower A-pillar trim - 4 - is installed.

- Install the retaining clip - 2 - in the control lever.

- Install the actuator lever - 1 - on the bracket - 3 -.
