Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• 15 mm open ring spanner (T10344)
• The vehicle must standing on all four wheels when adjusting the rear door.
• The rear door is adjusted properly when it has an even gap dimension overall when closed, it does not rest too far in or out and the contours align.
• Make sure the front door gap dimension is correct.
• Perform corrosion protection measures on the hinge and bolts after assembly or adjusting work.
Perform the following:
Setting the gap dimensions
For correct gap dimension adjustment, screws - 2, 5, 7, and 8 - at the A-pillar must be loosened.
- The lower A-pillar trim must be removed for the screw - 5 -.
- For the bolt - 7 -, the instrument panel must be removed..
Setting the gap dimensions
The bolts- 3 and 9 - must be loosened in order to correctly adjust the flush dimension.
For this, the door adjusting wrench (3320) with the bit insert (3320/3) must be used.
• Other measures, such as aligning the door upward, are not effective. Excess pressure thereafter will again cause the door to sag.
Adjust striker pin.
