Front Door Hinge: Service and Repair

Door Hinge Assembly Overview

• The illustration shows a right door hinge. The left door hinge is identical.

• Always replace the door hinge bolts after loosening them.






1 Door

2 Socket head bolt

• 50 Nm

• Always replace bolts after removing them.

3 Door hinge

• Hinge is divided

• Upper portion is attached to lower portion of hinge with screw - 4 -.

4 Bolt

• This screw must be unscrewed to remove the door from the hinge

• 23 Nm

5 Socket head bolt

• Installed from the inside of the vehicle

• Remove the lower A-pillar trim.

• 50 Nm

• After replacing the A-pillar, other tightening specifications are to be observed, refer to => [ Installing after Replacing the A-Pillar ] Installing after Replacing the A-Pillar.

• Always replace bolts after removing them.

6 Door hinge

• Hinge is divided

• The lower portion is attached to the upper portion of the hinge by the bolt - 4 -.

7 Socket head bolt

• 50 Nm

• After replacing the A-pillar, other tightening specifications are to be observed, refer to => [ Installing after Replacing the A-Pillar ] Installing after Replacing the A-Pillar.

• Always replace bolts after removing them.

8 Bolt

• 30 Nm

• Remove this bolt to remove the door.

9 Door arrester

10 Bolt

• Quantity: 2

• 9 Nm

• For the door arrester

11 Socket head bolt

• Installed from the inside of the vehicle

• To loosen or tighten the bolt on the driver side, remove and install the instrument cluster

• To loosen or tighten the bolt on the front passenger side, remove and install the glove compartment

• 50 Nm

• After replacing the A-pillar, other tightening specifications are to be observed, refer to => [ Installing after Replacing the A-Pillar ] Installing after Replacing the A-Pillar.

• Always replace bolts after removing them.

12 Door hinge

• The lower portion is attached to the upper portion of the hinge by the bolt - 16 -.

• Hinge is divided

13 Socket head bolt

• 50 Nm

• After replacing the A-pillar, other tightening specifications are to be observed, refer to => [ Installing after Replacing the A-Pillar ] Installing after Replacing the A-Pillar.

• Always replace bolts after removing them.

14 Socket head bolt

• 50 Nm

• Always replace bolts after removing them.

15 Door hinge

• Upper portion is attached to lower portion of hinge with screw - 12 -.

• Hinge is divided

16 Bolt

• 23 Nm

• This screw must be screwed down to remove door from hinge pin.
