Rear View Camera (R189)

The rearview camera is in the handle button in the rear lid - arrow -.






Removal

- Turn off the ignition and all electric consumers and remove the key.

- Remove the lower rear lid trim panel..

- Disconnect the connectors - arrows - from the camera wiring harness.






- Disengage and disconnect harness connector - arrow -.






- Remove both screws - arrows - and the metal cover from the rear lid.






- Open both side tabs - arrow - and push the handle button and the rearview camera toward the rear and out of the rear lid.






- Remove the rearview camera from the rear lid in - direction of arrow -. Pay attention to the wires still connected.






Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tie the rearview camera wire with a cable tie to prevent rattling noises.

- After installing, clean rear view camera optical lens using a lint-free cloth so that later a clean image is ensured.

- Calibrate the system again. Refer to => [ Rearview Camera System, Calibrating ] Rearview Camera System, Calibrating.
