Torque Converter Seal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Extractor Lever (VW 681)

• Thrust Piece (T10175)

Requirement

The transmission is removed. Refer to the following:

Tiguan with FWD, refer to => [ Transmission, Removing ] Transmission, Removing.

Tiguan with AWD refer to => [ Transmission, Removing ] Transmission, Removing.

Removing

- Remove the torque converter.

- Pry the seal out using the extractor lever (VW 681).






Installing

- Install the seal using the thrust piece (T10175) so that it is flush.
