2 Bracket

3 Coupling Rod

• Connects stabilizer to trailing link/wheel bearing housing

4 Bolt

• 90 Nm + 90°

• Observe tightening sequence Trailing Arm with Mounting Bracket, FWD

• M12 x 1.5 x 40

• Always replace if removed.

5 Trailing link

• There are different versions => [ ] Tie Rods for Trailing Arms, FWD and AWD, Allocation.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Trailing Arm with Mounting Bracket, FWD ] Trailing Arm with Mounting Bracket, FWD

• Servicing, refer to => [ Trailing Arm, FWD ] Trailing Arm, FWD

• Note the tie rod allocation when replacing them => [ ] Tie Rods for Trailing Arms, FWD and AWD, Allocation.

6 Bolt

• 8 Nm

• M6 x 16

7 Right Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (G44) / Left Rear ABS Wheel Speed Sensor (G46)

• Can be checked in Guided Fault Finding using the Vehicle diagnostic tester.

• Before inserting sensor, clean inner surface of mounting hole and coat with Polycarbamide grease (G 000 650)

8 Wheel Bearing Housing

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing Housing, FWD ] Wheel Bearing Housing, FWD

9 Bonded Rubber Bushing

• Replace => [ Wheel Bearing Housing Bonded Rubber Bushing, FWD ] Wheel Bearing Housing Bonded Rubber Bushing, FWD

10 Washer

• the washer chamfer must face outward

• Either the washer or the wheel bearing front seal is installed => [ Wheel bearing front seal ].

11 Nut

• 40 Nm

• Always replace if removed.

12 Brake Rotor

13 Bolt

• 4 Nm

14 Dust Cap

• Always replace if removed.

• Removing and Installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub, FWD ] Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub, FWD

An appropriate seal can only be achieved with a new dust cap.

15 Bolt

• 200 Nm + 180°

• Loosen and tighten using bit XZN 18 (T10162)

• M16 x 1.5 x 70

• Always replace if removed.

16 Wheel Hub with Wheel Bearing

• The ABS sensor ring is installed in the wheel bearing

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub, FWD ] Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub, FWD

Wheel bearing and wheel hub are installed together.

This wheel bearing/hub unit is maintenance and adjustment free. Adjusting or servicing is not possible!

17 Bolt

• 12 Nm

• M6 x 10

18 Cover Plate

19 Bolt

• 90 Nm + 90°

• M12 x 1.5 x 80

• Always replace if removed.

20 Bonded Rubber Bushing

• Replace => [ Trailing Arm, FWD ] Trailing Arm, FWD

21 Bolt

• 50 Nm + 90°

• M10 x 35

• Always replace if removed.

Wheel bearing front seal - 1 -





When installing the wheel bearing front seal - 1 -, make sure the hole - arrow - is installed at the center of the speed sensor - 2 -.
