Rear Side Airbag

Removing

• Removal and installation is described for the right side of the vehicle. Removing and installing on the left side is identical.

Follow all Safety Precautions when working on an airbag. Refer to => [ Airbag System Safety Precautions ] Airbag System Safety Precautions

- Disconnect the battery.

- Move the right rear seat bench as far forward as possible.

- Remove the rear wheel housing trim (with rear side airbag). Refer to => [ Rear Wheel Housing Trim with Rear Side Airbag ] Rear Wheel Housing Trim with Rear Side Airbag

- Remove all 11 clamping washers - 1 -.






- Remove side airbag - 1 - from the trim - 2 -.






Installing

- Install in reverse order of removal.

- When installing, replace all 11 clamping washers - 1 -.






- Switch on ignition.

Make sure no one is in the vehicle.

- Connect the battery.
