Flywheel
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Counter-Hold Tool (T10044)
Removing
• To prevent damage to the dual-mass flywheel when removing, the bolts - B - must not be loosened using an air powered or impact wrench. Only removing the bolts - B - by hand is permitted.
- Remove the transmission.
- Rotate the flywheel - A - until the bolts - B - line up with the holes - arrows -.
- Be careful the bolt heads - B - do not get caught on the flywheel when removing them.
- Securely attach the counter-hold tool (T10044) with a washer - arrow - to the cylinder block. To loosen the flywheel, move the counter-hold tool (T10044) into - position A -.
- Mark the flywheel position to the engine.
- Remove the flywheel bolts and flywheel.
Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Replace the bolts.
Move the counter-hold tool (T10044) into - position B - to tighten the flywheel bolts.
