License Plate Lamp: Service and Repair

License Plate Lamp (X)

• License Plate Lamp function can be checked using Vehicle Electrical System Control Module (J519) On Board Diagnostic (OBD) program function "Output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM)".

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removing

- Pry the license plate lamp - 1 - out of the rear lid using a screwdriver - arrow -.






- Disconnect the connector - 1 - and remove the license plate lamp - 2 -.






Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Make sure the license plate lamp is secure inside the opening in the body.

- Make sure the license plate lamps are working properly.

Bulb, Replacing

- Remove the glass base bulb - 1 - carefully from the bulb socket.






Wedge-base bulb: 12V, W5W

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- After installation, check the function of the license plate lamp.
