Clutch Release Mechanism Overview






1 Transmission

2 Ball Stud

25 Nm

To remove and install, remove the transmission.

Remove any grease from the release lever contact surfaces.

Grease with grease for clutch plate splines (G 000 100).

3 Input Shaft Seal

to remove and install, remove the transmission.

4 Guide Sleeve

to remove and install, remove the transmission.

With a vulcanized rubber O-ring.

Replace the guide sleeve and O-ring if the O-ring is damaged.

5 Spring

To remove and install, remove the transmission.

Attached to the clutch release lever.

6 Bolt

20 Nm

Quantity: 3

7 Clutch Release Lever

to remove and install, remove the transmission.

Remove and install together with the release bearing. Refer to => [ Removing and Installing the Release Bearing ] Clutch Release Mechanism.

Remove any grease already present.

8 Release Bearing

To remove and install, remove the transmission.

Do not wash the bearing, just wipe it off.

Replace loud bearings.

Removing from and installing to the clutch release lever. Refer to => [ Removing and Installing the Release Bearing ] Clutch Release Mechanism.

Lubricate the release lever contact surfaces with grease for clutch plate splines (G 000 100).

9 Bolt

20 Nm

10 Clutch Slave Cylinder

Removing and installing, refer to => [ Clutch Slave Cylinder ] Service and Repair.

11 Plunger

Grease the plunger head with clutch for clutch plate splines (G 000 100).

12 Assembly Bolt

Secures the clutch release lever when installing the transmission.

Remove after installing the transmission.

Use an M8 x 35 bolt if the assembly bolt is missing.
