Dual Mass Flywheel

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Flywheel Retainer (3067)

Removing






- Remove the transmission, refer to the following:

With a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG(R))

Risk of destroying the dual mass flywheel

• Remove the bolts - B - by hand, not with air powered tools.

• When removing the bolts, ensure the bolt head does not come in contact with the dual mass flywheel.

• Rotate the dual mass flywheel - A - so the bolts - B - are centered in the holes - arrows -.

- Place the flywheel retainer (3067) into the hole on the cylinder block - B -, and remove the dual mass flywheel bolts.






- Remove the dual mass flywheel.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

• Replace the dual mass flywheel bolts.

- Place the flywheel retainer (3067) into the hole on the cylinder block - item A -.
