Lower Control Arm, Front Bonded Rubber Bushing






Lower Control Arm, Front Bonded Rubber Bushing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Assembly tool (T10219)

Thrust Plate (VW 402)

Punch (VW 411)

Punch (VW 412)

Perform The Following:

- Remove the control arm. Refer to => [ Lower Control Arm ] Lower Control Arm.

- Remove the control arm (left side of the vehicle with DSG or automatic transmission). Refer to => [ Control Arm, Left Side of Vehicle with DSG or Automatic Transmission ] Control Arm, Left Side of Vehicle with DSG or Automatic Transmission

Pressing Out The Bonded Rubber Mount

- Press out bonded rubber bushings as depicted in the illustration.






1. Punch (VW 411)

2. Tube (T10219/1) (the hole must face the control arm)

3. Thrust Plate (VW 402)


Installing The Bonded Rubber Bushing

- Apply installation lubricant (G 294 421 A1) onto outside of bonded rubber bushing.

- Install the bonded rubber bushing as illustrated.






1. Drift (T10219/2)

2. Bonded Rubber Bushing

3. Tube (T10219/1) (the hole must face the control arm)

4. Thrust Plate (VW 402)


The bonded rubber bushing will be crooked for a short time at the beginning of the installation. Later it will straighten out. It will not be necessary to guide it.

- Install the bonded rubber bushing until the core - 1 - and the transverse link hole - 2 - are at the same height.






- Press back bearing slightly in control arm.






1. Punch (VW 412)

2. Tube (T10219/1)

3. Thrust Plate (VW 402)


Dimensions - a - and - b - must be identical.






- Install the control arm, refer to => [ Lower Control Arm ] Lower Control Arm.

- Install the control arm (left side of the vehicle with DSG or automatic transmission). Refer to => [ Control Arm, Left Side of Vehicle with DSG or Automatic Transmission ] Control Arm, Left Side of Vehicle with DSG or Automatic Transmission
