1 Charge Air Cooler

• Water cooled.

• Coolant hose connection diagram. Refer to one of the following:

With a Manual Transmission, refer to => [ Coolant Hose Connection Diagram ] [1][2]Cooling System.

With a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG(R)), refer to => [ Coolant Hose Connection Diagram ] [1][2]Cooling System.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Charge Air Cooler ] Charge Air Cooler.

2 Bolt

• 8 Nm

• Quantity: 2

3 Bolt

• 5 Nm

• Quantity: 2

4 Charge Air Pressure Sensor (G31) / Intake Air Temperature Sensor (G42)

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Charge Air Pressure Sensor G31/Intake Air Temperature Sensor G42 ] Charge Air Pressure Sensor G31/Intake Air Temperature Sensor G42.

5 Coolant Hose

• Coolant hose connection diagram. Refer to one of the following:

With a Manual Transmission, refer to => [ Coolant Hose Connection Diagram ] [1][2]Cooling System.

With a DSG(R), refer to => [ Coolant Hose Connection Diagram ] [1][2]Cooling System.

6 Bolt

• 8 Nm

• Observe the varying lengths.

7 Support

8 Bolt

• 8 Nm

9 Clamp

• 5.5 Nm

10 Charge Air Hose

11 Clamp

• 5.5 Nm

12 Bolt

• 8 Nm

13 Charge Air Pipe

14 Clamp

• 5.5 Nm

15 Charge Air Hose

16 Clip

• 5.5 Nm

Installing the Charge Air Hoses and Screw Type Clamps





• In order to be able to securely mount the charge air hoses to their connections, spray the screws on the previously used clamps with a rust remover.
