Ribbed Belt






Ribbed Belt

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Locking Pin (T10060 A)

Removing

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Mark the rotation direction of the ribbed belt.

- Rotate the tensioner in the - direction of the arrow - in order to release the tension on the ribbed belt.






- Align the holes - arrows - on the tensioner and secure the tensioner using the locking pin (T10060 A).






- Remove the ribbed belt.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. When doing this note the following:

Make sure, before installing the ribbed belt, that all components (generator and Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor) are installed.

Look for the rotation direction marked on the ribbed belt if reinstalling the old belt and make sure it is routed correctly over the pulleys.

- Install the ribbed belt on the pulleys.






1. Vibration damper

2. Belt tensioner

3. Generator

4. A/C compressor


- Start the engine and check the belt.
