Tail Lamps in Side Panel

Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removing

• The illustrations show removing and installing on the right side. The procedure for removal and installation on the left side is the same.

- Remove the service cover - 1 - from the side trim panel.






- Pull the primary connector - arrow - and disconnect the connector.






- Remove the screw - 1 - and pull the tail lamp assembly out of the side panel.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Connect the connector so that it clicks into the place the then install the primary connector.

- Insert the tail lamp housing into the guide in the side panel => [ (Item 2) Guide On The Side Panel ] Side Panel Tail Lamps Overview.

- Push the tail lamp housing downward so that it comes in contact with the opening.

- Tighten the bolt to the tightening specification given in the overview. Refer to => [ Side Panel Tail Lamps Overview ] Side Panel Tail Lamps Overview.

- Check the gap dimensions between the tail lamp assembly and the body after installing the tail lamp assembly.
