Engine and Transmission, Separating

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Additional Hooks (10-222 A/2)

• Shop Crane - Load Cap = 700-1200 KG (VAS 6100)

• Bracket (2024 A/1)

Procedure






• Engine/transmission assembly removed and mounted on the engine/trans. support (T10012).

- Remove the transmission mount bracket to transmission bolts - arrows - and remove the bracket.

- Remove the bolts - 1 and 2 - and remove the starter from the transmission.






- Install the additional hooks (10-222 A/2) - arrow - and the bracket (2024 A/1) to the transmission lifting eyes.






- Install the shop crane - load cap = 700-1200 KG (VAS 6100) to the bracket (2024 A/1).

- Remove the bolts - 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 - connecting the transmission to the engine.






- Separate the transmission from the engine.
