Engine, Securing to the Engine and Transmission Holder

To perform the procedure, secure the engine to the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095) with the universal mounting (VAS 6095/1).

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Lifting Tackle (3033)

Engine-/Gearbox Jack (V.A.G 1383 A)

Engine and Transmission Holder (VAS 6095)

Shop Crane - Load Cap = 700-1200 KG (VAS 6100)

Procedure

- Separate the transmission from the engine, refer to one of the following:

Vehicles with a manual transmission, refer to => [ Engine and Transmission, Separating ] Engine and Transmission, Separating.

Vehicles with a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG(R)), refer to => [ Engine and Transmission, Separating ] Engine and Transmission, Separating.

- Engage the lifting tackle (3033) as follows and lift the engine using the shop crane - load cap = 700-1200 KG (VAS 6100) from the Engine-/gearbox jack (V.A.G 1383 A).






Flywheel side: Position 4.

Vibration damper side: Position 8.

- Secure the engine to the engine and transmission holder (VAS 6095) using the universal mounting (VAS 6095/1).
