Glass Panel Height Adjustment

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Perform the following:

The boot is still not removed

- Move the sun shade all the way back.

- Tilt open the sunroof.

- Unclip the boot on the lower strip.






- Loosen both front retainers and push the boot to the rear - arrow - and out of the guide.

- Move the glass panel to the neutral position.

All vehicles:

- Loosen the bolts - 1 - through - 3 - (do not remove them).






Adjusting height of front glass panel to prevent wind noise






Adjusting height of front glass panel

- a - = 0 to 1 mm lower than the roof contour - 2 -

- Tighten the front bolts for the glass panel.

Tightening specification: 5.0 Nm

Adjusting height of rear glass panel to prevent wind noise






Adjusting height of rear glass panel

- a - = 0 to 1 mm higher than the roof contour - 2 -

- Tighten the rear bolts for the glass panel.

- Tighten the center bolts for the glass panel.

Tightening specification: 5.0 Nm

- Tilt open the sunroof.

- Install the boot into the mounts onto the slotted guide rail guide.






- Install the boot into the frame.
