Headliner with Sliding/Tilt Sunroof

Removing

- Open the sunroof.

- Turn off the ignition.

- Remove the cover from the rain sensor. Refer to => [ Rain Sensor Cover ] Rain Sensor Cover.

- Remove the lamps and switches inside the roof trim panel.

- Remove the A-pillar left and right upper trim. Refer to => [ A-Pillar Trim ] A-Pillar Trim.

- Remove the left and right B-pillar upper trim => [ Upper B-Pillar Trim, Loosening and Fastening ] Upper B-Pillar Trim, Loosening and Fastening.

- Remove the left and right C-pillar trim

- Remove the left and right sun visors. Refer to => [ Sun Visor ] Sun Visor.

- Remove the left and right sun visor mounts. Refer to => [ Sun Visor Center Support ] Sun Visor Center Support.

- Remove the storage compartment inside the roof trim panel. Refer to => [ Storage Compartment in Headliner ] Storage Compartment in Headliner.

- Remove the left and right grab handles (roof). Refer to => [ Roof Grab Handle ] Roof Grab Handle.

- Remove the front passenger seat.

- Remove the glove compartment. Refer to => [ Glove Compartment ] Glove Compartment.

- Remove the clips - 1 - from the front roof crossmember.

- Loosen the clips - 2 - carefully off the rear roof crossmember.

• Always replace the clips - 1 -.

- Fold the driver seat backrest to the rear.

- Loosen the roof trim panel - 3 - from the door seal.

- Lower the roof trim panel - 3 - slightly in the rear in - direction of arrow A -.

- Lower the roof trim panel - 3 - slightly in the front in - direction of arrow B -.

- Push the roof trim panel - 3 - slightly forward in - direction of arrow C - and lower the back of the panel even further.

- Remove the roof trim panel - 1 - from the vehicle carefully through the front passenger door.






- Push the roof trim panel - 1 - to the rear in - direction of arrow ER - and lower it in - direction of arrow D -.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Check all the fasteners for damage and replace if necessary.

- Guide the roof trim panel - 1 - carefully through the front passenger door.

- Insert the front edge of the roof trim panel - 1 - into the sunroof opening in - direction of arrow A - and push it forward.

- Insert the back edge on the roof trim panel - 1 - into the sunroof opening in - direction of arrow B -.

- Push the roof trim panel - 1 - to the rear in - direction of arrow C -.

- Insert the positioning tab in the roof trim panel into the rear roof crossmember.

- Lock the clips with the rear roof crossmember - direction of arrow ER -.

- Lock the clips with the front roof crossmember - direction of arrow D -.

The rest of the installation is identical.
