Rear Lid Brand Emblem

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Hot air gun (V.A.G 1416)

Adhesive strip remover (VAS 6349)

Assembly Information

Heat the name plates or emblem before removing using hot air blower (V.A.G 1416).

Use only adhesive remover (D 002 000 10) to remove any remaining adhesive when removing a name badge or emblem.

Remove any adhesive residue left by the tape using adhesive remover (VAS 6349).

Make sure the adhesive surfaces are free of dust and grease.

Install the name badges or brand emblem immediately after cleaning.

Only remove the protective film right before assembly.

The temperature must be approximately 70°F (21 °C).

It is not possible to remove the name plates or emblem without damaging them.

Due to equipment variations, small deviations must be considered during removal and installation.






Removing

- Warm the brand emblem - 1 - before removing using hot air blower (V.A.G 1416).

- Remove the brand emblem from the rear lid - 2 -.

Installation

- Follow the installation instructions.

- Peel off the backing - 3 -.

- Place the brand emblem - 1 - with the assembly pins into the stamping - arrows - on the rear lid - 2 -.

- Push the brand emblem - 1 - on using force.

The assembly pins will be forced into the base plate of the brand emblem - 1 -. The foam tape will seal it.
