Luggage Compartment Lamp (W3)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Removal Wedge (3409)

• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

• When removing and installing components in visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), cover by taping the areas at which a prying tool ( (3409) , screwdriver) will be positioned using commercially available adhesive tape.

The Luggage Compartment Light is located in the luggage compartment trim on the right side.

Removing

- Pry the luggage compartment lamp - 1 - out of the luggage compartment trim panel - arrow - using the (3409).






- Disconnect the connector - arrow -.






Replacing the Bulb

- Open the tabs - 1 - and remove the heat shield - 2 - from the lens on the luggage compartment lamp.






- Carefully pry the bulb out of the socket.






Bulbs: Glass base bulb 12 V/5 W

• Do not touch the glass of the bulb during installation. Fingers will leave traces of grease on the glass which, when the light is switched on, will evaporate and cloud the glass.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal.
