Front Treble Speaker







Front Treble Speaker

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Wedges (T10383)

The left front treble speaker (R20) / right front treble speaker (R22) are installed inside the instrument panel.

The following illustrations and procedures describe removing and installing the left front treble speaker.

Removing and installing the right front treble speaker is identical.

Removing

- Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers and remove the key.

From December 2011, there is a new installation procedure. It is no longer necessary to remove the instrument panel. Only the cover needs to be removed.

- Remove the instrument panel in order to gain access to the left front treble speaker connector.






Pull the cover - 1 - carefully under the sunlight photo sensor (G107) when removing.

- Pry the cover - 1 - outward on the left and right sides using (T10383) - arrows -.

- Remove the cover - 1 - from the instrument panel - 2 -.

- Remove the bolts - 1 -.






- Disconnect the connector.

- Remove the treble speaker.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Tighten the left front treble speaker bolts to the tightening specification (2 Nm).

- Insert the clips on the cover into the mounts on the instrument panel, if necessary.

Position the centering drift - 2 - in the center.

Insert the pin into the clip.






- Push the cover - 1 - under the sunlight photo sensor.

- Attach the cover - 1 - from the inside to the outside.
