Selector Shaft Seal
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Thrust Piece (T10174)
Removing
- Remove the multifunction transmission range switch. Refer to => [ Multifunction Transmission Range Switch F125 ] Service and Repair.
- Carefully pry out the selector shaft seal using a screwdriver. Be careful not to damage the selector shaft when doing this.
- Coat the outer circumference and the sealing lip of the oil seal with Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF).
• Installed position: The open side of the seal faces the transmission housing.
Installing
- Install the new seal using the thrust piece (T10174). Do not tilt the seal.
- Adjust the multifunction transmission range switch. Refer to => [ Adjusting ] Service and Repair.
