Rear Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Window Regulator

• This describes removal and installation of the window regulator on the right side. Removing and installing the window regulator on the left side is identical.

Removing






Perform the following:

- Remove the cover. Refer to => [ Cover ] Cover.

- Remove the door window. Refer to => [ Door Window ] Door Window.

- Remove the window regulator motor. Refer to => [ Window Regulator Motor ] Window Regulator Motor.

- Release the hooks on the cable reel - arrows a - and push it - 3 - into the door.

- Remove the nuts - 2 - and push the threaded pin on the window regulator into the door.

- Swivel the window regulator - 1 - with the cable reel out through the opening in the door - arrows b - and - c -.

Installation






Perform the following:

- Install the window regulator - 1 - with the cable reel through the opening in the door - arrow a - and - b -.

- Insert the threaded pins on the window regulator through the door panel.

- Install and tighten the nuts - 2 -.

Nut - 2 - tightening specification: 8 Nm

- Insert the guides on the cable reel through the door panel until the hooks engage - arrows c -.

- Install window regulator motor. Refer to => [ Window Regulator Motor ] Window Regulator Motor.

- Install the door window. Refer to => [ Door Window ] Door Window.

- Install the cover. Refer to => [ Cover ] Cover.
