Front Door Window Regulator: Service and Repair

Window Regulator

• This describes removal and installation of the window regulator on the right side. Removing and installing the window regulator on the left side is identical.

Removing






- Remove the door window. Refer to=> [ Door Window ] Door Window.

- Remove the window regulator motor. Refer to => [ Window Regulator Motor ] Window Regulator Motor.

- Release the hooks on the cable reel - arrows b - and push it into the door.

- Remove only the lower nuts - 3 - and push the threaded pin on the window regulator into the door.

- Loosen the top nuts - 3 - (do not remove them), slide them together with the window regulator in - direction of arrow a - and push them into the door.

- Swivel the window regulator - 2 - with the cable reel out through the opening in the door - arrows c -, - d - and - e -.

Installation






- Install the window regulator - 2 - with the cable reel through the opening in the door - arrows a -, - b - and - c -.

- Insert the upper threaded pins and nuts - 3 - through the door panel and move them in - direction of arrow d -.

- Insert the threaded pins on the window regulator through the door panel.

- Install the lower nuts - 3 - and then tighten all the nuts - 3 -.

Nut - 3 - tightening specification: 8 Nm

- Insert the guides on the cable reel through the door panel until the hook engage - arrows e -.

- Install window regulator motor. Refer to => [ Window Regulator Motor ] Window Regulator Motor.

- Install the door window. Refer to => [ Door Window ] Door Window.
