Window Guide







Window Guide

The following describes removing and installing the right window guide only. Removing and installing the left window guide is identical.

Removing






Perform the following:

- Remove the door window. Refer to => [ Door Window ] Door Window.

- Remove the clip - 3 - - arrow c -.

- Roll the sealing lip on the window guide - 1 - off the door flange.

- Remove the window guide - 1 - - arrows a - from the door flange- 2 -.

- Remove the window guide - 1 - from the mounts - arrows b -.

Installation






Perform the following:

- Tape off the openings - 4 - under the window guide with cloth tape.

Tape size: Height = approximately 10 mm, width = approximately 40 mm

- Spray the window guide with soapy water to make it easier to install.

- Install the window guide - 1 - into the mount on the fixed door window - arrow a -.

- Push the window guide - 1 - onto the door flange - 2 - from the fixed door window up the B-pillar.

- Pull the sealing lip on the window guide up to the B-pillar onto the door flange.

Make sure the window guide - 1 - fits evenly when installing it (wind noises).

Install the window guide on the B-pillar after installing the door window.

- Install the clip - 3 - - arrow b -.

The bevel on the clip must face toward the inside of the vehicle.

Turn the clip the other way if the bevel faces the outside of the vehicle - with a red line drawn through it -.

Install in reverse order of removal.
