Transmission, Transporting and Securing To Assembly Stand

Transmission, Transporting and Securing To Assembly Stand

Always secure heavy parts when transporting.

Remember there is fluid in the transmission. Do not turn the transmission with the vents facing downward when transporting or when it is on the assembly stand. The fluid will leak out.

Remove the vent caps if necessary and use fluid tight plugs.

Transmission, Transporting

- Use appropriate lifting tools, for example part of the engine sling (2024 A) and the shackle (10-222 A/12) (not illustrated).

The transmission can also be lifted using the transmission support jig (3336).

Example: Secure the transmission on the transmission support.
